Time is running out.
Moments slipping by.
Distracted.
Tired.
The words are trapped.
Caged and locked down tight.
Struggling to coax them out.
Frustrated.
Forgiving myself.
Giving my brain a rest.
Believing that the words will come.
Tomorrow.
Don't you love when even those blocked moments give us words! Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure we've all been where you are today; I know I have. But you wrote yourself right out of that place! Beautiful words.

ReplyDeleteYour honest post spoke to me as a writer. I've been there, continue to be there and waiting for my words to flow.
ReplyDeleteIt happens to all of us! Writing muscles and habits need a lot of care to develop. I'm so glad you did it. I remember reading Cathy Mere's suggestions - one is write something daily, because once you skip, it becomes easier and easier to avoid.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad we're on this journey of finding our writing voices again together!
