Blocked

Time is running out.
Moments slipping by.
Distracted.
Tired.

The words are trapped.
Caged and locked down tight.
Struggling to coax them out.
Frustrated.

Forgiving myself.
Giving my brain a rest.
Believing that the words will come.
Tomorrow.

  3. So true, so true. I just began tonight, and the words are there, but there will be a day soon when the words won't flow. Tomorrow will be a new day for you, though.

  4. I'm pretty sure we've all been where you are today; I know I have. But you wrote yourself right out of that place! Beautiful words.

  5. You’ve made me think about how writer’s block still manages to elicit comments. I’d say that’s the mark of a successful post. That is, being blocked becomes a post others relate to. Tomorrow, words will flow.

  6. Your honest post spoke to me as a writer. I've been there, continue to be there and waiting for my words to flow.

  7. It happens to all of us! Writing muscles and habits need a lot of care to develop. I'm so glad you did it. I remember reading Cathy Mere's suggestions - one is write something daily, because once you skip, it becomes easier and easier to avoid.
I'm glad we're on this journey of finding our writing voices again together!
