When we really listen...

   Slice of Life Challenge
      31 Days of Writing - Day 6

This has always been a mantra for everything I believe about learning and teaching. We need to listen - not just hear. When we really listen, we are not just taking in what is being said. We watch how it is being said, we pay attention to the body language, and we wait for the words that come from their hearts.

"The most basic and powerful way to connect to
another person is to listen. Just listen. Perhaps the
most important thing we can ever give each other is
         our attention."

  2. This slice really helps me. I'm a first year teacher, so I feel overwhelmed at times, but this is a simple thing to focus on that can improve my ability to reach the students. Thank you!
