When we work with children we often discover talkworthy texts. These are the pieces that draw us in and invite us to uncover a deeper meaning and to build our own unique understanding. And so it is with conversation. Whether it is a reflective conversation with oneself or with a group of others, the talk moves us to deeper understanding and a broader view of our thinking. Here's hoping that all our conversations will be talkworthy.

Zeke shares his birthday with H. A. Rey
My good friend, Louise Borden, told me that my grandson, Zeke, was born on the same day as H. A. Rey who wrote the Curious George books. How fun is that! Of course, we had to go out and buy a Curious George for Zeke!
When he's 16 and he drags out the old ratty Curious George that was his first friend, he won't be able to believe that his head was every the same size as George's!!!
